1. Introduction

Welcome to Safe Haven Dutch! By accessing or using my services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions..

2. Services Provided

I offer Dutch language lessons through various platforms. My services include:
1. Online Lessons: Conducted via Zoom only.
2. In-Person Lessons: Available at the student's home, at the Safe Haven business location, or at a custom location.
  1. If the location is further than 5 km from the city center, travel costs of €0.23 per km will be applied.
Additional Students Policy: For lessons with multiple participants, the following policy applies:
1. Hourly Rate Calculation:
  1. For each additional student beyond the initial participant, an additional fee equivalent to 0.5 times the hourly rate or package price will be applied.
2. Notification Requirement:
  1. If intending to include additional participants in a lesson, users must notify Safe Haven Dutch in advance.
3. Notification should be provided at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time.
4. Billing Adjustment:
  1. Any additional fees incurred due to the presence of extra participants will be added to the total amount due for the lesson.
  2. Payment for these additional fees must be made prior to the commencement of the lesson.
5. Participant Responsibility:
  1. It is the responsibility of the primary student to ensure that any additional participants are aware of and agree to the terms and conditions outlined herein.
6. Safe Haven Dutch reserves the right to deny participation to any additional students who have not consented to these terms or who disrupt the learning environment.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation by User: Notify me at least 24 hours before the lesson for a full refund.
Late Cancellations: No refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of the lesson.
Cancellation by Safe Haven Dutch: If I cancel, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

6. Rescheduling Lessons

User-Initiated: Notify me at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule without penalty.
If lessons are not rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance, the full lesson fee will apply.

7. Technical Issues

User Responsibility: Ensure a stable internet connection and functioning device.
Safe Haven Dutch Responsibility: I am not liable for disruptions caused by third-party platforms.

8. Travel Expenses

For in-person lessons, travel expenses will be charged at a rate of €0.23 per kilometer. The total distance traveled will be rounded down to the nearest 5 kilometers and calculated for each lesson day (round trip). For example, if the round trip is 22 kilometers, the charge will be for 20 kilometers, resulting in a travel expense of €4.60.
Travel costs will only be incurred once per lesson day. In the case of additional students during the same lesson, therefore, provided they are at the same location, travel costs will be calculated only once.

9. Intellectual Property

All materials provided by Safe Haven Dutch are for personal use only and cannot be reproduced or distributed without permission.

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Amsterdam.

I may update these terms from time to time. Users will be notified of significant changes.
